Synopsis (Source: Wikipedia)

Earl was at an elderly recreational center to take pictures of Joy doing good deeds and volunteering her time. Earl heard his name being called out and it was Tom Sparks. Number 50 on Earl’s list: “Fired lead singer from his band.”

Earl remembered first hiring Tom to be lead singer of his, Randy and Ralph’s band, Phish Tahko. The problem was, the guys thought Tom was too old and he scared all the hot chicks away, so they fired him. Well, now Earl felt he had to make Tom feel like a rock star again.

Phish Tahko was getting ready to make their comeback. Tom pointed out #51 on Earl’s list, Slept with Ralph’s mom. Ralph couldn’t believe it. Earl remembered hooking up with her after one of their rock star parties at Ralph’s house.

Ralph told Earl that he was going to murder him for sleeping with his mom. After Ralph’s mom was no help, Earl decided to leave town. He stopped by his parents’ house to say goodbye and found Ralph there. Ralph said he was going to even the score and sleep with Earl’s mom.

Earl married Ralph’s mom so that Ralph would forgive him and not kill him. Earl realized that being married to Ralph’s mom was kind of nice. It felt like he was part of a family again. Only problem was he would eventually have to consummate the relationship, which so far he’d been avoiding.

Ralph told Earl that if he didn’t consummate the marriage, he would kill him. Earl promised that after their Phish Tahko concert, he would do the deed. He decided he needed to get liquored up at the bar first. But he passed out, so Ralph’s mom went home with Tom. Tom made Ralph’s mom happy and that made Ralph happy.

Official Storylines (from NBC)

ROCK AND ROLL ALL NIGHT; GIOVANNI RIBISI GUEST STARS – While Joy (Jaime Pressly) is doing community service at a local senior recreational center to improve her image for an upcoming trial, Earl (Jason Lee) runs into number 50 on his list. Years ago, when Earl, Randy (Ethan Suplee) and Ralph (guest star Giovanni Ribisi, „Friends,“ „Lost in Translation“) put together their band, Phish Tahko, they unknowingly told an elderly man, Tom (Larry Hankin), that he could be the lead singer. When Tom scared away all their female fans, the band kicked him out before their very first show. While Earl tries to make amends with Tom, he's confronted with number 51 – „Slept with Ralph's Mom.“ As pressure mounts for Earl to save his friendship with Ralph and put together a reunion show for Phish Tahko, Earl realizes that partying like a rock star might be the only way he can get through the night. Nadine Velazquez, Eddie Steeples, Beth Grant, and Nancy Lenehan also star.
